My feeling was the excess skin was preventing me from fitting into shirts & wearing certain styles. I'm almost a month out from my arm lift & I love the new contours of my arms. I have found it to be a more involved recovery than my tt, but I have no regrets.

Hi - I see you are in Indy.  I had my RNY at St Vincents in Carmel 3 years ago.  I am 10 months out from brachioplasty and fleur de lis abdominoplasty.  You can click on my name or avitar picture and see my before and after pics.

It has been 10 months since the arm lifts.  I have significant red scars and they are bumpy and feel "numb and thick".  I will take pictures at the 12 month mark and post them.  I think they will remain red and wide.  Most of the areas of my tummy tuck incision are not very visible - that's why I think the arm scars are going to be obvious.

I will take the scars over the hanging skin any day.  I have tiny arms that look good in sleeves.  I will try short sleeve or sleeveless when it gets warmer - but right now I don't like the way it "feels" when the scars aren't encased in a soft sleeve.  When the scars "rub" on furniture or I bump them uncovered - it is uncomfortable.

Just my opinion.  Penny
