More swollen by end of day?

 Hi all,

I'm 5 weeks out from my extended tummy tuck tomorrow (got my last drain out today). I've noticed that in the morning my tummy seems relatively flat, but if I'm out and about during the day, then by the end of the day I'm not only sore, but my belly is obviously swollen (bloated?) and hard. Did anyone else have this same experience?

And might I just add that it's so nice to have you all as a resource. I don't mind asking my surgeon a million questions, but it's nice to get quick responses from people who've been through it...

Yup and my tt was in 2006 and to this day I will start out nice and flat and my jeans will fit fine and by the end of the day they are much tighter.  Its just part of living with a tt for me.

Yes it pretty normal. The more active you are, the more you swell. I am only 3 weeks out, so not sure how long this lasts for. But I have heard it could be a while(months). I am just like you, I have a lot of little questions and can go to my surgeon, but I know that I can get the same answers here without having to bug him. Plus by asking here I am sure a lot of other people have the same questions.

It could be the sodium you take in too.

You are doing perfectly.  I'm three months out and some nights still want to sleep in my flexee leggings.  I agree that sodium intake makes a huge difference for me.

Yes, completely normal.  Keeping my binder on helped alot and just felt better overall.  I remember when I first had mine (2005) anytime I took off my binder, felt like my tummy was gonna fall off my body LOL
