Does anyone have post op pics of their tummy tuck or LBL at least over 5 months post op?  I am trying to figure out what my stomach should look like or if I am just being too hard on myself with my results.  I know everyone is different and results are different but I would like to see pics standing up and bent over to see and to compare....I am frustrated!!  Looks good standing and laying down but bent over YUCK!!

Thanks in advance

You were pulled super tight while on the table in a prone position. If the surgeon pulled your stomach tight while you were bent over, you would never be able to straighten.  Our skin is still stretched out and lax from our MWL. While the surgeons can restore a normal appearance to us they can't fix that.  Thats why you don't look your best while bending over.

Once you are fully healed and feel ready, you can start some abdominal excercises that can help with the bend over look.  Tightening the muscles can provide some improvement but even the excercise won't be able to help the skin being lax when gravity applies.

We're never going to look like we're young and have always been fit (at least not in all positions!).  Its one of the prices we pay for having gained so much weight in our lifetime.  Although you may not be thrilled with the look when you bend over, if you can remember what you looked like before the PS - standing, laying, or bending - I bet you'll see the post-op look is a massive improvement. Try to think of this as an excuse for perfect, ramrod straight posture at all times!  (just joking).

My surgeon told me the same thing. She's so thrilled with my results that it's hard to keep telling her I expected to look 25 at 45 :-). When I look at the pictures I can see she's right, my "afters" are well beyond what I'd hoped for. Just got a little picky now that it's all done. Kinda disappointed that I'll still be a little self-conscious about how I position myself during intimate spouse moments.

I'm cleared for exercise so I'm going to see what I can do with some pilates and weights. There was a woman on this board whose posts I read that looks just amazing as a reslt of exercise. I've even decided to go forward with thighs but hold off on arms a little while and see how much change I can make without surgery.
