Second consult for ps and it sucked
So today I went to Yale for my second consult with a different dr, because the first time didn't go well from the start. Today started the same way the lady at the desk was so nasty to me and I waited 2 hours just to get In a room to see the wrong dr! Yeap the wrong dr and then they thought I was their for the student program which was ok to see wha the price difference would be, but the lady left for the day so it was a waist of time! Finally the dr brought in the dr I originally came to see and he was just as lost as his student! I will never let anyone just cut me open if I'm uncomfortable with them. And the surgeon has the (DROPPESY) the whole time he's talking to u its a sign what if he drops the knife!.... Plus u have two drs and the one ur going to see say his student is doing the work but hell be their to watch makes me say hell no sorry. he did even know what or where the cuts of a thigh lift go! So for the second time I had a not so good feeling about Yale so I will stick to my gut and pass! So if anyone Nows of a good ps that does thighs in ct let me know thanks maybe someone will have better luck with them.
Wow I don't blame you. One thing after another. The staff doesn't have it together, then the whole dropping things too, then a newbie student. I am sure a student is okay under supervision for some situations, but only if you have complete faith in their supervising Dr. Well at least you have a price to compare your next consult with. But I am sure this isn't how you wanted to spend your day. Bummer.

I remember when I went for a consultation the Dr's hands were all shakey - I swear he had parkinson's or something. Even when he grabbed my belly, his hands were still shaking. You would think by grabbing a hold of something, the shakiness would get better. I walked out of there and threw all of his information away.. Hell no. Keep looking. Sometimes you can find plastic surgery reviews on www.realself.com. Good luck
Awful experience and I sympathize. Just remember to keep your head up and keep interviewing surgeons. This is one of the most important aspects of PS, the research journey . You're doing research with each consult and although it may feel like a waste of time, it most definitely is not.
Finding a doctor you like and feel comfortable with is the single best thing you can do for youself in this process (and once you find him, you research the hell out of him to be even more sure that he has the skills and experience to care for you). You're going to wear your body for the rest of your life.
Good hunting!
