I had my surgery last Thursday and a follow up appt on Friday.

My pain pump came out on Saturday night... Easier than I expected. The area was numb and it slid right out.

I am able to self care....getting up and down by myself, showering, toileting and preparing my own food.

My husband is a dream, but I want to care for myself as much as I can.

Yesterday, I decided to switch to Tylenol during the day, and take pain meds at night only. That seems to be working.

I am so grateful for the remote controlled recliner I rented.

I am taking the week off from work......reading, knitting and catching up on TiVo.

Planning to go out for a walk round the block tonight .... Wahoo!!!

I have a flat belly.......will post some pics soon.

Awesome, from what I hear the lifting chair is a must. How many days after your TT did you need someone to be with you? I'm wondering how much time hubby needs to take off?

I had surgery on Thursday... Home by about 1pm.
My husband stayed home that night...helped me up twice to potty and walk around.
On Friday, he was home with me except to walk the dog.
He 'spotted me' while I got up by myself and went to the bathroom by myself.
I have been using my hiking stick to help me get out of the recliner.

I was home alone most of yesterday and all of today.

My surgeon did not have to do much muscle work ... He said that under the skin that I had excellent muscles ....he was shocked.

So, I may not be as sore as you will be. Hard to tell.

I would plan to have help for at least 3 or 4 days if I were you.

Kath I am glad you are recovering nicely. It's nice to be home. It's also nice to be able to do basic things for yourself. I'm happy that things are going so well for you.
