Wow...That Fast Huh...Lets Do It!!!

Hi Everyone.  After much research, I had my first plastics consultation on March 6th with the surgeon of my choice, Dr Gavin Dry in Kirkland WA.  His work is amazing, having seen first hand two of his employees who were at the OH Conference in Bellevue WA 2011 that took me into the ladies room right there and then and proudly unveiled there scars to me and shared their stories.  One was a gal who had lost 150lbs and had the complete body makeover, that was prior to her being an employee of Dr Drys.  She loved her experience and her new body so much she is now a patient coordinator for Dr Dry.  The other was one of the surgical nurses that had had multiple surgeries and they both looked great.

So anyway, after my consultation on Tuesday March 6th, I decided to go with Dr Dry and scheduled my first surgery, the LBL for May 10th, 2012.  Thursday night, two days after my consult I got a call from Dr Dry's patient coordinator letting me know that they had a cancellation for the following Wednesday March 14th and if I wanted I could take it but would have to come in the next morning for all my preops.  Wow, I am thinking, that fast huh, lets do it!

So I am happy to report that I am scheduled for my LBL for this comming Wednesday March 14th and have my next surgery already on the books, a combination breast lift/arm lift for June 11th.

Any advice from you vets that have been through this process already is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!  Prayers are always welcome.  :)

Good luck on your continued journey!
Just looked at your weight stats- you don't list your height and you write in pounds, but living in Israel we use metric (there is a point to what I'm writing).
I'm 152cm=five feet tall and at my highest weight I was 120 kilo which is almost 270lbs; and when I went for my revision from Ring to RnY I weighed 104 kilo.
I had my apronectomy/pannilectomy August 2012 weighing 83 kilo- three kilo was removed. I now weigh 77-78 kilo which is about 170lbs. I wish I were just a teeny bit taller so the stupid BMI chart would be nicer to me.
I was just noticing are similar stats and wishing only success of health and happiness along your journey to even more satisfaction from you achievement and your body.
If you want a pen-pal or friend to talk to, I wouldn't mind calling you. I live alone and not many of my friends in Israel get my need for WLS or emotional abd physical need for Plastics. PM me if you are interested and when would be convenient talking times.
Advice: have things(remote, water, pain meds or other supplements,tissues/wipies) on a tray/table/ near your favorite chair (most talk of
the recliner snd extra pillows for comfort.
Don't wait too long if in pain-some recommend every 3-4 hours. Narcotics may and often cause constipation which is not pleasant after an op and especially after TT and straining can be majorly ouch. Many talk about stool softener.
Pain is a given as are scar and swelling and some ups and down in moods.
May everything go smoothly for you!
I'm jealous at your upcoming ops but happy for you too.

Wow, that is fast! I've heard that there's quite a wait to get in for Dr. Dry, so you definitely got lucky. Please update us on how your procedures go. I plan on getting a consult with Dr. Dry this year, but I don't know that I'll be able to afford him.

The patient that had a total body makeover, did you happen to notice her leg work? I've heard Dr. Dry is particularly talented at leg work. Thanks, and good luck with your upcoming body work!\

Edit: I notice you live in Olympia. That's quite a drive over to Kirkland. Are you going to drive all the way home after your surgery, or are you going to stay in a hotel? I've been curious about the possibility of getting a hotel so I don't have to deal with commuting straight back home.

Hi and thanks for the reply.  Yes it is fast and I feel very blessed to get in so quickly with Dr Dry, it just happened that things worked out that way so pretty happy about the way everything is going.

Also, yes, both ladies at the conference had full thigh lifts I was able to see and yes he does do great thighs.  He will be doing lipo on my thighs this round along with the lbl in preperation for my future thigh surgery.  He likes to do lipo twice on the thighs, if given the chance as it gives better results. So once now and then again during the thigh surgery.  Have yet to schedule the thigh surgery but it will be the next one following the arm/breast lift combination in June.

Re Hotel.  Dr Dry likes you to spend 3-5 days at the Marriott Hotel down the street so you are nearby if any complications develop.  He also recomends a nurse to be with you the first 24-72 hours after and they have a nursing service they recommend.  I will be bringing a care taker with me who is driving me to and from surgery so she will be present while the nursing staff is there and they will train her as to what needs to be done, meds and shots, what to watch for etc... following the surgery.

Where at in Washington are you from?
