Lol, not a nurse but thank you for the high compliment. I believe that information is power. While none of us like surprises in the post op phase of our plastic journey, I think that if we are understand what is happening, how to handle it, and (most importantly) that the issues will resolve with time then these little 'surprises' are much easier to deal with.
I had a terrible reaction to the suture material and learned alot while trying to deal with my 'surprise'. Happily, I have a surgeon that is willing to answer all my questions and takes the time to explain things to my satisfaction. I should say I am also thankful that he figured out alternative suture/stitch methods for my phase 2 so that I wouldn't have issues again.
