 Hello,

I am starting to think about plastic surgery after my lap band. I am 17 months out and am down 148 pounds  (96 lbs since surgery). I am 27 pounds from my goal. Ladies, did anyone have work done on their breasts prior to their tt? I nursed 3 children prior to the weight loss and I have TOTALLY lost all of my chest. :( Anyway, any thoughts and or advise on surgeons in the Dallas Ft. Worth area would be apreciated!

I didnt have work done on the breasts before the tummy so I cant help much there.

I can tell you that your breasts might continue to change as you lose those last 27lbs.  It is definitely worth getting a plastic surgeon consult now because you might find out (as I did) that the last  20 you thought you needed to lose was made up of excess skin and tissue and not fat!

It isnt a big deal to get the breasts done at the same time as the stomach. A lot of it do it that way.  It saves some money in OR and anasthesia fees by tacking it on to the abdominal surgery and doesnt add much time.

I had my surgery done by Dr. Lomonaco in Houston and strongly reccommend him. I don't think it is too far to go from Dallas to Houston for a top notch surgeon. I flew from Australia to use him!

Good luck with your journey!

I would do them at the same time.....you will end up saving a lot of money in the long run and have only one recovery.  I just had a TT with back lipo 7 weeks ago.  I really considered doing my boobs too but then decided that in a good bra my boobs weren't that bad and I didn't want to spend the extra 11,000.  The funny thing is since I had my TT I have been asked several times if I got a boob job...  Since my tummy is smaller it makes my boobs look bigger....so I feel like I got a free boob job!

Good luck on your plastics journey...it is so worth it!

Nicole,
I had my brachioplasty and breast lift when I was about 20 pounds above my goal weight.

My Plastic Surgeon and I agreed that the remaining 20 pounds were not going to impact the arms/breasts.

I am very pleased with the results.  I went from a 44C before my WLS  to a 34B after my plastics.
They were very deflated ------ I did not want implants -- just wanted them put back where they belong.

Now, at 15 months at my goal weight I am having my TT tomorrow.

I am glad that I waited for the tummy --- have been at a stable weight and exercising regularly.

Good luck!!   congratulations on your great weight loss
Kath
