Scheduled my date for TT
Congratulations!!!!
If I had to recommend anything it would be to buy a ton of pillows! I went out and bought ten pillows prior to my surgery, and they have made everything so much more comfortable! I would also recommend buying/renting/barrowing a recliner, as I cannot imagine having to get up from a regular bed in the days right after surgery.
Im excited for you!

Congrats!!! Yes a recliner is the way to go. I bought a ugly one off Craigslist and will probably toss it when I am done in a couple months. I know they recommend adding extra protein before as well as after your surgery. Also recommend using stool softener before and after as well. Of course the obvious, I got my house in order before I left. I had lts of food ready, I organized my house where everything I needed was waist level. You will probably live in a robe, or yoga pants at first. I have also learned a lot by reading posts here on this site. It gives you lots of tips and great advise.

We have our reclining sofa in the family room, so that's where I slept, but I honestly think I would have preferred to have a recliner in my bedroom, for privacy, and because I think I would have slept better. I'm glad though that I was able to spend time in the family room, and not be completely isolated in a bedroom, so I think it's 50/50 with the recliner location.
I'm six days out from a LBL, TT and BA and there are three things that saved me from additional and unnecessary pain. 1) a LIFT recliner, 2) an elevated toilet seat and 3) working out with a trainer 3x a week leading into surgery. He was able to strengthen my core and legs enough that once I got to the edge of what I was sitting on, I could fold my arms across my chest and just stand up using my legs.
It Is amazing how often you use your chest and pecs to move. The pain from the implants is a real sting so folding my arms prevented accidental pain
The leg strength was invaluable even though it took me some time to trust them. Don't be a hero about the painkillers either. A couple of days ago I tried to go 5-7 hours instead of four etween doses and it was t worth it. I just had a couple of really uncomfortable meals that wasn't necessary
Im not sure if this is worth all the pain yet to be honest. I could justify the RNY because it extended my life by improving my health. I'm not so sure at six days out that having a flatter tummy, less loose skin and fuller breasts is enough to warrant what I've put my body and my hubby through.
Especially since it wil be months until I look relatively normal and can really decide if it's worth it.
