Has anyone had successes or probs with plastics coverage with BCBSIL.

Hi Sharon,
I'm in the trenches and flooding them with documentation as we speak. They automatically turn everyone down with the first request. Now my surgeon is getting tough and sending them tons of pictures of rashes, a letter from my PCP stating he emphatically wants them to approve me, and documentation of all the visits I've had with him trying different treatments. Friend me if you'd like and we can share strategies!

Hi Heidi I know this is an old post but I was wondering if you ever did get approved for your procedure with bcbsil. I was looking on the website under the doctors and hospitals and they list alot of different plastic surgeons that are in network in my area but I can't find any info anywhere of what plastic surgery they cover. If you or anyone else ended up having any luck with this please reply, thank you!
