Had tummy tuck, arm lift and s-facelift on 2/21.  Everything went well, but found out pain pills do need to be taken on regular basis!  Tummy tuck drains were removed yesterday and all steri strips removed.  Can't believe how good everything looks.
Having to walk bent over is killing my back, but the binder has to be my bigest complaint!  I'm supposed to to get a spankie or something to take the place of this stupid binder.  any suggestions??

I also had on and off again back pain and spasms caused from the bent over position.  A heating pad on your upper back while resting in a recliner can really ease that.

I continued to wear my binder (thigh to ribcage) for 9 weeks.  Yes, it is miserable in the beginning but it does get better as your swelling goes down.  I can't imagine anything else giving as good of compression.  I saw others elected to go with Flexiess or Spanx after several weeks.

I had a terrible rash from the binder so my surgeon told me to get a spandex thing called "Cupid" from Walmart. Most of the rash finally went away after a couple weeks with some cream. You can still see the rash after 3 weeks but it is faded and no longer itches.

I'm just four weeks out from tummy tuck and breast reduction.  One of the other posters noted how you do actually get used to the binder and that was true for me.  I saw the other post where one mentioned they got a rash from it.  Was glad to see that as I recently got a rash as well.  My surgeon suggested picking up a "firm" binder by Flexees.  I had asked about Spanx because I knew where to find them.  But they said Spanx wasn't firm enough.  Once you can stand fully upright, it's a whole new world.

Right there with you on the back pain!  My stomach isn't as sore but my damn back!!  I'll try the heating pad...hadn't thought of that.  In the meantime, it's slumpville and a binder.  Next week (2 weeks out from surgery) I transition into a girdle that my PS ordered for me.

It does get better!  I have to wear my binder for atleast 6 weeks and it actually feels good now.  I also have to wear spanx (or something like that) under my binder...no regular underpants for now per my PS.
Once you can stand up straight..it is much better.

The heating pad is a hugh help..I use it everynight...still do..it helps with my back alot.

hang in there...the results are so worth it!
