I don't have any advice, as I'm pre-plastics...but congrats!
If you don't mind my asking, how bad is your hanging skin? Did you have any other medical issues? How did your doctor approach the insurance company?

First I want to say thank u all for the congrats, but to help some people with plastic I did a lot of research on what insurance is looking for to get ps approved, like start to see my drs whether it was my bypass surgeon, md, stomach dr, gyn even dermatologist all of these dr help write letters on ur behalf. Each time u go they document ur weight which they require it to be stable for three months before u see a ps sometime ur goal weight, document rashes itching, smell how much skin and how much u have hanging. My ps said it was gonna be very hard for my tt approval because my panics doesn't gang low enough to cover private parts he said u usually have to have it hang so manny inches! Then he takes pics tO show insurance and write a nice letter on ur behalf stating what u need. Always ask for creams and hints so it's documented when u go to drs insurance looks for it. But every insurance is different but these r things that I found helpful from others. The sooner u start documentation and have the letter from dr for u pa u choose the quicker it is. Good luck everyone deserves ps covered but they tell me I will be a self pay for everything else but it's worth a try I will be doing that next month for thighs hopefully yeast infection is enough for that!

Thanks, your situation sounds like mine.  Maybe there is hope for me too!
I'm probably about 6-8 months away from having plastics, so I'd better get going now on the documentation!
Good luck again!

 Congrats!

I couldn't be functioning without my lift recliner & elevated toilet seat; I highly recommend both. Increase your protein intake before surgery. I'd also recommend SinEcch, which is basically super potent Arnica. Now that I've finished the SinEcch I'm taking Arnica. In addition, Bromelin,, vitamins & Grape Seed Extract.  I feel great a week after my surgery & I'm only taking Tylenol for discomfort, I wouldn't describe it as pain anymore. One more thing, start taking Colace a few days before & then 3 times a days to make it easier to pass a stool. Pain meds are very constipating!
