I seem to have no problem getting bad skin fold inflammation when I put on some tight spandex bike shorts and sit on my bike for 3-4 hours :((((

I think I saw someone recommend sand paper once...

I am not endorsing it, just passing along info. I have read before that putting dishsoap in the fold and leaving it to dry will create rashes.

Dish soap, laundry soap, and other crazy things I've tried haven't worked for me hope insurance will cover it without pics of the rash. But good luck

I'm mortified.  I honestly didn't think of it like that.  Color me naive and embarrassed.    I knew it was an insane idea, but criminal?  That's really not who I want to be.  Pulling the post.  My apologies.

I hate to chime in here but I am Mortified! I paid for my Lapband at almost 500 lbs! I worked full time nights as an RN in a very busy NICU! I have also paid for the phases of plastic surgery and not one time have I even considered "faking" a rash or any other ailment to get a free ride! Life is life! We get what we get and we work hard to deal! My insurance has a full waiver against all plastics! Even for someone who has lost a Super Morbidly Obese person! I am shocked but certainly not surprised that this post existed! I am sorry, but I find it shameful!

I'm with you. Maybe it is the nurse in us.
But I abhore this kind of stuff.
and I guess it does happen...alot.

Saw a post on the main board not too long ago from some chick who did not weigh enough to get approved for her WLS. So, she went on a binge and ate Ben and Jerrys so she could pack on a few pounds and try again. She was so proud of herself when she then got approved and posted about it.

Gross. Just gross.

IMO- just perpetuating the stereotypes that exhist about the obese.

I did not comment because I was afraid of what I might type.
I don't suffer fools (or insurance fraud) well.

Not trying to pile-on the OP here...but boy, this is a touchy subject for many.
