Job offer and PS scheduled -- AH!

I recently scheduled  hernia repair and tummy tuck (fleur de lis) for March 15th.

Now, today, I received a job offer-- this is exciting, but moving quickly. I know myself and I do bounce back quickly... I didn't have my full energy levels after RNY, but was fine to return to office work, at around a week after surgery.

I know this is a little different, as there will be drains. So, I need some advice and experience from folks who are young (I'm 25) and bounce quickly --  what was your timing to be functioning and back at work? This is an office, nothing physical about it.

Thanks so much!!

I was out for 12 days (actual days not work days) before I went back full time from an extended tt with muscle repair no lipo though and a neck lift.  I was working atleast 50hours a week as a systems analyst and I would be swollen by the end of the day but it was doable.  The drains are usually gone after a week or so, and if not tuck them in your bra, they are a vacuum and can drain upwards.

Good Luck

I had a LBL and was out a week and a half.  The drain were gone before I returned to work, but I was prepared to just wear some empire waisted long sweaters.  I wore a lot of legging and long sweaters to cover the garmets and swelling.

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

I'm 51 and went back to work managing a restaurant on day 11. Actually went in on day 5 to do payroll. No problems at all. I had TT with muscle tightening and brachioplasty.
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!

You all are awesome. Thank you for sharing. The PS scared me with "4-6 weeks" which there's NO WAY I could ask for.

I'm having surgery on March 15-- starting new job on april 2nd... but will probably need to go into my old office on the 26th.

I just had a TT on the 17th, I am 33 and I was able to go back to work on the 28th. I probably could have went back on the 23rd / 24th but I waited till I went back to the PS and made sure it was OK with her. I was out and shopping by the 21st. My drains were out on the 20th. I have had 3 c-sections and bounced back from them quickly and I think that might have had something to do with it. Every one is different and heals differently. I have been back to work for 2 days now and other than being a little tired it is very doable. I also work in an office setting. My PS told me jus to get up and walk around every couple of hours and watch for swelling. Good luck :)
