Surgery was 5 1/2 hours for tt with lipo & arm lift. I have two drains, nothing in the arms. I went home that night & that was not a problem. I only wish the roads were paved smoother. The hydrocodone has really helped with the pain. But honestly it is beginning to diminish. My left arm has no pain whatsoever, although it the left hand is swollen & requiring frequent heat & massages to drain the fluid. In the right arm I feel slight pulling in the armpit. Throughout the day I get slight twinges of pain along the tt incision but nothing major. What is causing me the most pain is actually from where the drain had been pinned. The first night my drains were pinned to the bottom of my binder. When I woke up in the morning the front of my right thigh was in excruciating pain as if a nerve had been irritated. The drain hasn't been anywhere near that spot & I've padded the area but I am still experiencing sharp twinges of pain there when I move in certain directions. Once that stops I'll be in a much better place.
I had a small amount phlegm that was causing me to cough slightly...not fun! Last night I put a warm compress on my chest & was finally able to bring it up without coughing...yippee!
The 3way lift recliner is fantastic! My dh did go out & buy a foam mattress pad & cut it to fit the chair to make it more comfortable. It has made the chair more comfortable for me, I don't sit for long periods very easily. I see the doctor on Tuesday & will take pictures then. For now I'm reveling in seeing a body part I haven't been able to see for many years! I still can't believe it's real!

Cindy, I have been looking forward to your post! Glad you are managing everything. I'm with you on the twinges of pain in the thighs...I also get a burning sensation. They're humbling, aren't they? ha ha And cheers on the Hydrocodone. I take the liquid version (faster onset). I'm partial to it because that's what I took after bariatric surgery and it worked well for me. Glad you are enjoying your 3-way and two thumbs up for your hubby buying memory foam for it! We both have follow up appointments on Tuesday...I look forward to seeing your pictures! Jen
