Two weeks out from TT

Two weeks ago today I had my abdominoplasty with vertical extension. In those first few days I remember thinking it was SO much worse than I had expected... the pain, inability to move, etc. Now, a short 2 weeks later I move around like a champ, have less pain (but more swelling), and am starting to heal. It's hard to not be addicted to the scale. Every morning I'm getting on it waiting for it to move some more. Today it was actually up a bit, which was annoying. My brain knows that it's probably constipation, swelling, etc, but the rest of me just wants to see the scale slowly moving down.
I had my husband take some pictures the other day and I feel like I look awful. So swollen. I looked better when I was first out of surgery, which, I know, is also normal. It's just been tough trying to adjust. I want to fast forward 3 or 6 months, see what size pants I'm wearing, how much easier it is to exercise, run, etc. I guess I'm just impatient...

Wow, your doing great! Im sure the swelling is normal and i know it takes some time for all the swellen to go down just be patient. Im 1 week post op from TT and i can't wait to see what my final result will end up looking like also. Just be careful and take it slow, Did your doc say you can excercise again yet?

Surgeon won't clear me for exercise until I'm 6 weeks out. Same with work and school (I'm working on my masters). I started running last year and I'm really eager to try running again, to see if it's any easier without my bouncy belly.
