Hi Val congrats I'm also looking into having my pannis removed, did you also have a tummy tuck? Did your insurance cover it.

No insurance didnt cover it in my case but alot of insurances will cover the panni part of the tummy tuck. in my case i had the panni and full abdominal reconstruction from a ventral hernia that was huge in my belly but insurance paid for that part and i paid for the panni so yes i guess you can say i had the full TT, Good luck to you

Wow-what a weight-loss!
You should be so proud of yourself!
From what I read, get your consult and money estimate or whatever for medical coverage. If there are rashes/sores/smell-get your doc and anyone else to document as it might make you medically covered. The PS will probably tell you best time spanish realistically for you and your body as to when to do the pannilectomy. In my pannilectomy three kilo was removed but since then I hsve lost a couple of more.I was not at BMI goal but had lost weight and started small regain but had stabilized. My HMO approved me so I did not pay anything-but I live in Israel. You will feel so free without the hanging skin flapping against you. You might also really wish you could do more procedures.we might never be perfect body shapes but any change is usually a blessing

Hi congratulations on your weight loss, that is amazing!  I had my panniculectomy in June 2011 and I love my new belly and the ability to wear anything I want.  I don't have to worry about my belling hanging out of the bottom of my shirts, skirts, and dresses.  Hope you get the results you expecting.  Feel free to check out my pics if you like.  Keep us posted on your progress.  Take care.

Hey girl congrats on your success! I'm two weeks out from a pannelectomy! My insurance did cover it, I was having bad back pain and although I didn't have rashes my surgeon made it seem like I could get bad rashes  so I guess they just decided to cover it lol. I couldn't afford to get a full TT but Im really pleased at the job my ps did he ended up taking a lil more off than he normally would so I got a new belly button he took off 16 lbs lol. I had a huge apron. The recovery isn't bad at all the most annoying part is the drains, I think recovery is easy because they don't touch your muscles so I haven't had much pain at all. But I have o walk bent over a lil and my back is hurting but well worth the pain lol. I'm also swollen everyone says it will go away in a couple weeks though. If you have any questions hollar!
