Tomorrow's my big day! (BL/BA)
I am home and feeling pretty good. No pain to speak of, just pressure, especially when I take deep breaths. The doctor tried several sizes and ended up with 325cc high profile. We were originally looking at 400 moderate profile. I told him whatever fits my body best, but if it's a tossup, go for the larger. He tried from 200-400 and thought these looked best. They look good to me. Not a lot of swelling now - I guess that could change. I'm moving about pretty well. Once I'm up to it, I need to walk at least 1/4 mile a day.
I was so busy leading up to the surgery that I didn't have time to get nervous until the night before. All is well. I only ate a bowl of soup and some crackers yesterday...the chicken I ordered I only got 1 bite down and thought I'd be sick. So a while later I had the soup. Just had a wake up wrap from Dunkin Donuts. It's just the right size for a meal for me. Relatively low carbs (14). I took my pills with my breakfast, so I'll likely sleep for awhile before long. I'll check in again later.

Glad to hear you are doing so well!
I usually don't get nervous about a surgery until right before, too.
I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain and ask a lot of questions about your surgery.
What is the difference in the profile of the implants?
Did you have silicone or saline?
Did you end up bigger or the same as your former size?
Please don't worry about answering these until you are feeling better. Hope you have a speedy recovery and best wishes with your new body!

About 100 pounds ago, I was a D cup. I expect to be a full C or small D once healed. Just prior to surgery there was pretty much just skin. Very little breast tissue. In a sports bra, I was practically as flat as a child. It's nice to see them back again!
Obviously I'm doing well enough because I can sit here and surf the web. I expected to be sleeping after taking my meds, but haven't yet. I'm really hungry today. I guess because I only had soup and crackers last night. I did gain 6 lbs overnight from the IV. They tell me the implants are about 1/2 lb each. I've got a little puffiness in my hands still, the nurse said that was normal and would go away soon. Overall, it was much better than I expected. I thought for sure there would be pain...I've only got some discomfort from pressure. Hope I didn't jinx myself saying that! LOL
Thank you so much for the link and answers! I was a double D about 100 lbs ago and I have a lot of skin, but I can hold in the palm of my hand the actual breast tissue contained therein! I am wearing a D now, but the remains are puddled in the bottom of the cup. My biggest loss is from my upper chest. It is so disturbing to see that looking more like a board than a chest.
I told the surgeon I wanted to be either a D or a large C after all is said and done. Don't want to morph into Dolly Parton or anything, just look balanced.
My daughter said her BL/BA was a piece of cake and would do it over if she had the funds.
Thank you so much for sharing!

I am just realizing how much the exercise I've done for the past year has helped. It's been pretty easy moving around because my abs are in much better shape than ever. It's uncomfortable to use my arms to push myself up, but because of my exercise, I am letting my abs do much of the work. If you are contemplating plastics anytime soon, I highly recommend working on your abs!
One more question.....Did you have them put over or under the muscle?
There are so many decisions to make and I don't want to make the wrong ones.
I am thinking that my abs must be in pretty good shape as I was told by two surgeons that I did not need muscle tightening. Hope that helps me get around better too.
