March 21st is revision go day! Long one...like usual...
Well, looks like it is official. I'm on the schedule to have my revisions on the 21st of March. Working from the top down the procedures will be a capsulorraphy to close the side boob part of the capsule as well as a capsulotomy to open up the pocket to help the right implant drop. We were having a little failure to communicate when I expressed interest in having my nipple raised somewhat. I was telling him that my left breast was more firm and raised than the right, which is my trouble booby. My thought was getting a bit of a raise to the nipple would give me the result I was looking for. He just kept saying that there was always going to be some softness and laxity because it was my breast tissue. So short of a breast reduction, it was going to be what it was. Well I finally went to my most scientific explanation to show him what was bothering me. I lifted up my left boob and let it drop. It bounced once and stopped. I lifted up my right boob and left it drop. It bounced like 3 times. I gave him some nice sound effects while I did this, "Flop. Flop, flop, flop." He looked at me and says, "Oh, I see what you are saying." Huh? Really? My little performance did it? He is going to do a revision to the lift on the right as well and at this point is not planning to do the nipple lift, but he is going to run it past his partner who does 90% breast work in his practice. I'll be honest--I'm a little freaked out about what all this work will leave me with. Part of me thought if the implant is dropped into place on the right then it would provide the fullness to give me a bit less flop. He doesn't seem to think that will be enough. I'm also a little worried about how the closing of the pocket on the side will affect the direction of my nipples. Apparently it can cause them to point more toward the side than straight ahead. I HATE the way the side boob feels when I'm not wearing a bra, so I may need to just deal with that if it happens, but he said he will do what he can to avoid it.
He is also going to do an excision of skin at the scar line at my mons to do a little lift there with no lipo.
Finally he is doing some lipo at the outer thighs and will then do an excision at the scar line in an effort to offset any skin laxity that will happen with the lipo as well as to revise the scars on both sides. I was hoping he'd carry that excision around to the front of the thigh so he could lift the anterior thigh a bit to improve the dimpling there, but he said that is a very ineffective method.
I'm a little disappointed about something he said. I said I really didn't want to be under anesthesia for much more than 3 hours and he said something to the effect of "well, I don't really want to be doing much more either, but I'm trying to do my part" I guess I understand where he was coming from but it felt a little like he's feeling like I'm being picky or wanting too much or something along those lines. I said nothing and then just stuck my tongue out at him, made the raspberry sound, and giggled nervously. I should have said something right then to clarify what he meant, but at this point I'm just going to get in there, get it done, and hopefully not ever have to have another operation again in my life!!
So that is the game plan as of now. I'll have another preop meeting so if there are any questions that arise I can pose them then. Please do feel free to chime in with any thoughts or concerns or if it seems I'm missing something.
Cross your fingers for me!

I hear revisions are common. Also I meant all the things I said. However I'm exceedingly prone to seeing the good and strengths in people and being blind to flaws.

I meant to chime in ..earlier but my 5 yr old was demanding the laptop..
I was wondering if your PS had a good reason why one pocket was too small and the other too large.. It seems like I am having the same issue.. with the boobies
I think I am going to wait to have the boobs adjusted when I have my arms done.. I also want my saddle bags readdressed as well.. I cant believe how bad my arms look now..
I cant possible have another surgery until the end of the year.. my DH might freak out.. so might work.. Plus, I really want to get my reserves built up.. the PS really put me back energy wise.. sort of kicked my butt.. I need to get my iron bood work re-checked too..
I am also considering getting a 2nd opinion on my boobies from another PS.. just to make sure.. I trust my PS but there is a part of me that wants to make sure that I am getting the best revision recommendations..
Good luck and happy healing.. crossing fingers and toes
