nervous
So Im going to my first consultation on March 21st. Im really excited yet really nervous and kinda scared. I have been told by doctors I have a high tolerance for pain but Im scared of how bad the pain will be and how Ill deal with having two small children. Im looking into a panni removal or TT and then having my arms done. Any advice is welcome.thanks
Loving this new life, just trying to figure it all out and take it all in day by day!!!
do you have anyone that can help? I just had TT last friday and i have a 4 and 7 year old, my husband has taken 11 days offm of work to help with the kids. As far as the pain, get ready for the worst pain in your life, the first couple days are or weremterrible for me but today is post op day 3 for me and its getting a little better. I have to keep on top of my pain meds or im in pain for real. Good luck to you
The pain is different for everyone. I had a 3/4 belt lift, extended bl/ba and lipo done on my legs and found that the most pain I had was with the lipo on my legs. I had surgery a little over a month ago and went back to work full time 12 days after surgery.
I went to the surgery center at 6:30 in the morning, out of surgery by 1:30 and home by 4. The first day was the toughest, I couldn't get out of my recliner by myself, and had to go up two flights to the bathroom, but after the first day I was able to get up and down myself. Managing pain is very important...stay ahead of it. Instead of taking a full dose every 4 hours, i took half a dose every 2 hours, except to sleep through the night then I took a full dose.
I slept in the recliner for a full month, it got to the point where the recliner was just more comfortable.
I would do it all over in a heartbeat!

Don't settle for the pani removal...get the full tummy tuck! You have come this far, don't settle for less. I agree the pain us awful...but it gets better..and you have the drugs...and keep your eye on the prize..it is so worth it!
Good luck to you!
Patty
Ps...again don't settle for the pain...I would not have been happy with that.

I had the same experience as Allison! And we both had Dr Sauceda!
I seriously had no pain for my extended TT and brachioplasty. The lipo on my arms hurt, but the incision, never did. My thigh lift with lipo hurt, but it was the lipo part that was painful and my facelift was the worst of all.
Everyone is different and how one may feel it's the worst pain of their life, another may feel it was painfree.
I agree with PBJ, go for the full TT, don't settle for the panni removal! Not worth it! You've come too far to settle for anything less than the best!

Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
I won't lie. It was very painful, but I am a guy and you know we are all babies when it comes this sort of thing. lol
I agree with the others, go for the TT, since your already under the knife, get it all done. It's totally worth it.
