Has anyone had just BA without BL?
Both the surgeons I spoke with just included a lift as a given, but I am still not so sure I want a BL. The second consult said he could do just an aug, but he didn't think I would be happy with the result. I guess what I need to see is some before and after pics to see what and aug without a lift looks like. I am really not unhappy with mine except that my upper chest is so flat now. They don't hang to my knees or anything.
Then there was a guest speaker at our last support group meeting who was a plastic surgeon speciallizing in massive weight loss patients who stated that WLS patients were different than ordinary plastics patients in that the nature of the work was reconstructive and needed to be handled differently than regular PS patients.
He stated that a lift was not always necessary as it may just be volume that needs to be restored. That is what I liked about what he had to say, but I was not so much on his personality.
I don't necessarily want to remodel mine, just refill. Any thoughts?

It all depends on what condition your breasts and skin is in now that you've lost the weight. In my searches for pics to bring to my doctor, I came across some who appeared to have a BA without a BL. Personally, I would not be happy with that result based on what I have left to work with. The upper part of the breast was still flat and the lower part fuller, but still droopy. I think you should do more research and have more consults until you find one that you feel can give you a realistic idea of what your results would be. It's so expensive to do the procedure, I surely would be careful to communicate exactly what you want and be comfortable that the doctor understands. I think it wise to find one who specializes in bariatric patients. They should have some before/after pics showing the results they have acheived. Some of the plastic surgeons who advertise on this site have pics on their sites. There are thousands of pics on this site:

Everyone is so different. I would get maybe one more opinion and really be clear on what you want.
I was banded in February 2011, before losing my weight (I'm at goal) I was a full C and very happy with that. When the weight was off I was a large A small B. I didn't have any sag at all so I wasn't going for a lift but rather volume and size. I'm 9 weeks out from my BA with no BL. I'm very happy with my new breasts!! I'm now a DD.
Like I mentioned before though maybe another opinion and it really is a case by case basis. Everyone is different Depends on sagging, size of breasts, your fold, volume, what you are looking to achieve, etc.
