Thinner waist, thicker thigh ladies--Jean brand recommendations??

Since surgery I've had a tough time finding jeans that fit well. If I fit my thighs, then the waist is huge. If I fit my waist, well, I look like I might be expecting to be compensated for my "services" if you get my drift.

I have found a couple brands (Anne Taylor is one) and styles that are bette, but need to know of some others without going to every store on earth. I know I need a low rise jean or they bag in the crotch.

Any recommendations are most appreciated!

Denise

I'm still in compression garments and my binder, but I can already tell I'm going to have this issue too.  I need recommendations too.  I think I'm going to have to learn to tailor my pants.

Hi Kay! I do have a couple pairs of jeans that I think if I just did a little dart at each side they'd be perfect. Now I just have to learn how to sew...

Denise,

I think you might be petite.. I am only guessing.. have you tried NY& Co Petite jeans with the stretch denim.. you would probably fit 8P.

I love the stretchy denim it fits much better than straight regular denim.. The waists are a tough fit...I think for most women with curves..I like the way the fabric snugs the thighs..everyone thinks I look "skinny" in those jeans..

Good luck on your hunt for the perfect fit!!

No such luck as being petite! I'm 5'7" and pretty large boned. I can surely check out non-petite sizes though. Thanks!! Not sure I'd even wear jeans anymore without the stretch!

YES!  I finally found jeans that are perfect for me.  Of course Dr. Sauceda sculpted me for a perfect fit.  I too have a smaller waist, so jeans were big in the waist and tight in the hips.

Sweetheart Boot Cut jeans at Old Navy are perfect.  They ride low on the hips which I could never do before.  They feel fantastic.

Post op I went from a 10 in jeans to a 6 in the Sweetheart.  I still have big hips and the top of my thighs are very full and curvy.

I went shopping with PBJ (patty) last week and she turned me on to her favorite skinny stretch jeans.  Gloria Vanderbuilt Amanda jeans.  Again, rides very very low on my hips.  Size 6, perfect, but I'd better not gain a pound! I never dreamed that I'd ever get to wear skinny jeans.  I wear them all the time to remind me that I want to keep off these pounds that I shed post plastics.

Off to Old Navy for you to try on jeans Denise!

I know, right?  As slow as I was losing, none of us thought I'd make it to single digits!

Awesome Lee!! Thanks! I'm excited! I love the boot cut--very flattering on my figure. I want to go shopping with you and Patty!! :) Oh, one other issue I notice is that I tend to look a bit like a plumber when I bend over in some of these lower rise jeans--do you notice that in this style?

Good for you on the 6! How exciting is that?!?!? I've picked up a couple pounds here over the last couple weeks--definintely need to pull it in and get back on track. Simply cannot undue what has been done. Don't want to go into revision stuff heavier either. Only a month or so until surgery so I better get my butt back to the gym while I can!

Thanks again. We have an Old Navy 3 minutes from my house. I'll be there tomorrow!

Have a good rest of your weekend!!

Denise.. sorry to hijack your post, but I meant to ask you another question about your breasts. I'm thinking of going about the same size as you.

Do you find that you have any trouble with exercise or running or anything like that? Or do you just have a great sports bra and you are good to go?
