Has anyone experienced shivering from pain after PS? Twice now I've missed my pain meds and ended up violently shivering from pain. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar...

Awwww, I'm so sorry. The body gets shockie fast when we miss the pain meds. Can you tuck a heating pad into bed with you? Set a timer to remind you to take your meds so you stay ahead of the pain.

No I barely took any pain meds as they make me sick.  I wasn't in that much pain from my extended tummy tuck with muscle repair.  What did you have done that is so very painful?  I was so numb that it never really hurt at all except loads of pressure.

Your poor thing! I agree with Lee, you need to set an alarm. How about your cell phone? Does your phone have the capability to customize the alerts so you cam select that will wake you?

I used an alarm so I didn't miss a dose, BUT pain meds always make my teeth chatter and my shiver so I can understand your added discomfort.  I never thought of the heating pad!  Good one Lee!

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

We're using an alarm now. Hopefully this will make the next couple of days easier. Adding to the discomfort at the moment is a nasty headache. I'm guessing I haven't taken in enough fluids, so I'll be sending hubby out for some Propel.

I woke up with a headache my first few days home from the hospital.  I was complaining about it to my sister (a general practice doctor).  She asked how I was sleeping.  I was sleeping on my back and I am normally a side sleeper.  She that I need to focus on where I have my head on the pillows when I go to sleep at night.  Turns out, I had my head at an angle an it was causing my headaches. I was blaming my medication, but it was my sleeping position.

The vicodin gave me migraines...I had to switch pain meds..I hope you have a better time at pain management, fluid intake, and plain ole rest..

My husband pointed out it could be caffeine withdrawal. He's out getting me some coffee now. He's also picking up some Crystal Light which I hope will help me get more fluids in...

Sounds like you've got a plan going now. Caffeine withdrawl can bring on killer headaches! I hope it only gets better from here on out!!!
