Implant ?--boobs achy in the morning still

Hey y'all! I am still having some aching in my boobs when I wake up first thing in the morning. I understand my right one with the capsular contracture, but not the left.

Is anyone experiencing any lingering discomfort? I'm almost 5 months out. They are pretty sizey, so it may be that I'm just asking too much of my chest wall!

Thanks guys!

Denise

Good Morning Denise,

I have the same issue but I am only 6-7 weeks out.. I found on Realself.com there are alot of Plastic surgeons who actually respond to questions like this.. pain with capsular contracture and hematoma pain is typical. It was interesting to me that you could have a hematoma with out visible bruising on the skin surface.

Mine are about 1/2 the size of yours and they feel heavy especially without a bra on.. They feel weird bending down to pick something off the floor or anything requiring any activity at all.. I find wearing a warm fleecy shirt to bed helps with the morning boob issue.. I dont know if keeping them warm or not.. its just something I found that seemed to help.

I tried rubbing them with arnica massage oil- nothing.. I tried taking some herbal anti-inflammatory remedies like turmeric, arnica, .. no dice.. I try more massage.. really no difference. I wonder if there is some residual swelling.. that is is causing the trouble.

I had the anchor cut..so my I have a lot of soreness on the sides too.. my cut goes back to the side boob area..

I see my PS in 3 weeks I am definitely going to ask him about this.. Let us know if you learn of any new developments.

Thanks Michelle. I've debated more massage, less massage, ice, heat--was going to shoot my doc an email and ask his opinion. I can't wait for the revision. I'm excited to get rid of this side boob. Part of me thinks that since I tend to lie flat on my back when I sleep, perhaps they are shifting farther than they should toward my armpit and it's sort of like when you sit in one position too long and when you move it's a little achy. I dont' know.

I feel fine with movement, although I am not clammoring to do jumping jacks! Half the size of mine! Do you mind my asking what size implants you got? Forgive me if you've already shared--old lady brain here!

Thanks!!

Denise

I have saline 350s filled to 400 ccs.. I think you have 800s right?

I was reading that if the implant moves too much to the side/armpit its due to the oversized pocket (laterally).I think I have that going on to the left one.. the right one is going through cc.

Is it too much to ask for 2 boobs to act and behave the same way?

I had aches tenderness and sharp stabbing pain for a year then they remained tender to the touch for two years but happy to say at the two year mark I am completely feeling normal . My surgeon said everyone is different and sometimes it takes a year to feel normal well guess he was right I would just get you regular check ups and then give it time I never would have believed it would take as long as it did at the year mark I was sad and willing to except that maybe I made a mistake having it done and that I would never feel normal again but so happy to report I finally do And now so happy and pleased with all the results

Well if someone is going to take extra long to get back to normal, I'm guessing history would dictate it's me! I do notice there is still swelling reduction in different parts of my body, so I believe when people say things can run long where healing is concerned.

So glad to hear you you are finally at a place of contentment and normalcy. I hope to join you soon!!

Thanks so much for chiming in!
