When to get plastic surgery + cost ??

I wanted to get opinions on plastic surgery…I am 25 years old and have lost 130 pounds. I want to have plastic surgery now so I have more time to enjoy it, but later down the line would like to have kids (3-5 years from now). I don’t know if it would be worth doing now only to have a muffin top come back in a few years from being pregnant. I feel great about myself, but having a tummy tuck and a few other procedures to get rid of excess skin would make me feel more confident about my body! But like I said, don’t want to spend all that money to have it ruined in a few years.

I was also curious is anyone had general cost information they would be willing to share. In order to get that information I have to have a consultation, which cost $100+ on its own, and I may not even want to see that surgeon! 

That is a great question and a very valid point.  I don't know the answer.  How about emailing one of the surgeons (like Dr. L that does answer posts here...you can find him) and ask him.  Or I would maybe just get a consult and spend the money to find out.  My consult was 75.00 but if you go with him (which I did), the money is applied towards your procedure.
I had an extended tummy tuck and full back lipo.  Paid 13,100.  Worth every penny!  I live in California so I think we pay more here because everything costs more in California!

I would do it..even if you intend to have kids in 3-5 yrs.. the pregnancy you'll probably only gain 20-30 pounds that wont undo all the PS. All my Consults were free..

I just had a circumferential abdominalplasty done and it was $11,140.00.  I also got an estimate for a ull medial thigh lift along with liposuction to the outer thigh area for a cost of $12,600.00.   To me, it's worth every penny, but I hate having to separate the two surgeries (my doctor didn't want me under anesthesia that long).  So, now I'm counting the days until I can have the thigh lift/lipo done........

I'm curious about pregnancy after a tummy tuck as well. I don't have kids, but I'm not going to wait to have plastics because I might not have any at all. I assume there's still a possibility of getting a little mommy tuck later, and I assume that whatever damage I do with pregnancy won't be anywhere near what I did with morbid obesity. Of course, I haven't actually asked a surgeon about any of this, so who knows.

You might want to look into any surgeons offering free consultations, just to see what kind of info they can give you. Even paying consultation fees can be worth it, as they can give you tons of helpful info about what to expect with various procedures. Good luck!

 I don't know the answer to the first part but I can tell you what I spent it cost me 8000 for a breast lift with silicone implants and 12000.0 for a lower body lift and tummy tuck. There are so many surgeons out there that will consult for free I would go to those I went to three consults all free before choosing my surgeon best thing I ever did never felt this confident in my life I am going to be 50 I. A few months and I wish I had done all this sooner feel like I missed out on so much living best wishes to you 

Your story reminds me a lot of my own. I am 23 and lost 173 pounds! My con****ation was free (they billed insurance for it) and insurance paid for the stomach portion of my lower body lfit. (but i was willing to pay for the rest out of pocket) for me it was worth every penny. I to want kids in a few years but i want to enjoy the few years i hav eto finally be myself and fully enjoy my body

Do NOT have aTummy Tuck if you want kids later on. I had a tummy tuck and then had 3 kids, and now I need a revision. :/
