Yes I'll leave it to him that's for sure. Me not mathmagician right now, till stink your up to something.

WHY IS THE SKY BLUE?

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

Why is water wet?

  • Water isn't wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water; what happens to us when we come into contact with water in such a way that it impinges on our state of being. We, or our possessions, 'get wet'. A less impinging sense experience of water is that it is cold or warm, while visual experience tells us that it is green or blue or muddy or fast-flowing. We learn by experience that a sensation of wetness is associated with water: 'there must be a leak/I must have sat in something.'

Why is fire hot?
The reason fire is hot is because it is releasing a lot of energy! Did you know that energy releases heat? And also the heat is energy?? This might be difficult to understand, so try out a way of seeing for yourself what it all means:

Rub the palms of your hands together really quickly for about 15 seconds. Do you feel the way the energy and force you make with your hands creates heat between your palms??!

This is why fire is hot… fire is a form of energy, and energy releases heat -- you can feel it in your own two hands! Although don’t worry, your hands don’t release chemicals like burning wood or coals, so rubbing your hands together won’t ever make them catch on fire! (Phew!)

I think it's something you have. Sex and sex appeal is in the mind. If you don't have it...it doesn't matter what you have on...or what you do. If you do have it, the same is true. People project this when they're heavy, not heavy...
I have a male friend who isn't ugly by any means, but isn't a George Clooney either. He's also short...5'8" but he oozes sex appeal and confidence...women adore him and men want to be his best buddy.
If you have it...you have it...if you don't, it's not something you can buy. Sounds like you have it G/F!

PS...my heart aches for your friend... he's an ass and I hope she wakes up soon! :(

Interesting--I didn't think to flip it to relate to men. You are right. I know another guy that is exactly the way you described, but he is even shorter, which is usually not the easiest thing for a guy to overcome. But this guy is just the life of the party. You'd think he's handing out money the way folks gravitate toward him. Hmmm, maybe he is--I should have gotten closer and checked it out!

And yes, I feel for her too, although another friend said we shouldn't feel too much pity without knowing the whole story--never know what goes on behind closed doors. In any event, it is not appropriate for a married man to flirt with other women in the presence of his wife despite how cold or distant she may be at home. I mean really, what did he think was going to happen? Was I going to let him take me into the laundry room for a quickie? Geesh...

I agree...people are drawn to confident people.  I knew someone who was not the best looking, but when he was in a crowd. everyone wanted to be around him...male and female.

I definitely think it's something you just have.  I have the same issues with men in my life...they hang around like flies, LOL.  My husband teases me about all my "boyfriends"  but isn't jealous or anything.  I think it's a confidence thing.  Good on you girl!

It's something you're born with. One of my friends insists I'm a succubus. LOL But seriously, even when I was fat I had it. I had think friends who couldn't figure out why and how I was attracting men. Now that I'm thin, the package makes it worse. Once I have plastics....oy vey. The same friend says I'm going to have to learn to be a ***** to protect myself. I hate knowing he's probably right. I never had the body to match the spirit. As my journey progresses, I'm finding that, that sex appeal is worse. Once I go to Sauceda? Oy Vey.

I think I may have mentioned somewhere on this thread that my friends always said I got more ass than a bikeseat even when I was heavy, in sweats, no makeup, etc. I guess there is something to just being a really brightly spirited person. And now I know what a succubus is!!

Good luck with your plastics!!

Yep, some people just have that "X-Factor" (even before the show came out) that makes them stand out in a crowd. They don't have to be physically attractive to have it.

Take models with quirky noses or weird eyes who become superstars because of their imperfections. Take the Japanese girls who are getting caps to make their teeth crooked because they believe the imperfection make them more "approachable". People are intimidated by perfection.

One "X-Factor" comparison that comes to mind for me is the Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera saga. They both came to fame through their association as Mickey Mouse Club singers and dancers. I don't think that anyone would say that Britney is a better singer than Christina, or that Britney's physical features are better. Still, it's Britney who found the greatest fame. Even through all of the scandal, people are still drawn to her and facinated by her. She just has that unidentifiable X-Factor that causes people to be interested in her.

Some people just have a charm that draws people to them and makes people want to follow them, and/or be like them. It's not anything that's definable. You either have it or you don't.
