OT kinda- my daughter's plastic surgery

My 7-year old daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate. She had surgery this week to repair a hole in her palate and her lip scar was revised, too. I think she has always been beautiful, but kids can be cruel. I'm hoping she will be happy when the swelling goes down and her incisions heal. Her struggles really help put things in perspective for me...

I am amazed...I've seen her photos and never knew.  She is fortunate to have you as her Mom.  She will look even better once she fully heals.  Your daughters are adorable.

I think it is wonderful she could have this surgery at such a young age. As women, we tend to have so many issues with our bodies. She is very fortunate to be able to minimize/eliminate this one.

The mom/grandma in me just wants to give her a big hug! I hope her healing goes well!

Something like this, does put things into perspective. Wishing her a speedy recovery and a lovely smile. She is fortunate to have this done at an early age and to have such an empathetic and supportive mother.

I hope that  your daughter's healing is totally successful.  Her mouth looks gorgeous.

I had originally wanted to use a local plastic  surgery because of his participation in the Smile Project.  I'm really happy that surgeons are helping children in third world countries that would not have the opportunities if it were not for these dedicated surgeons.

My nephew, one of triplets and now 31 had these same procedures done. I love seeing his vibrant smile.

God Bless her and you she looks amazing and with a mom like you she will go far I am sure. I teach children with special needs and I am often amazed at the fortitude children have when faced with adversity. Children can teach us a lot about putting things in perspective.
