Cindy,
I'm planning to go by myself at the beginning of June. My husband needs to stay with the kids, and it feels like a huge imposition to ask any other member of my family to take two weeks off of work to go with me. It's definitely a little scary, but I've read the posts of other people who went alone, and it seems doable. I'm planning on having LBL, BL/BA, Full Thigh Lift, Brachioplasty.

Hi Eileen, I am researching the procedures I need and costs.  I need the same procedures you are having.  Have you gotten a quote yet?  If so, is the quote binding?  Do you mind sharing it with me?  If you are uncomfortable posting is here, please feel free to PM me.  I am trying to devise a plan on how to raise the money so the most accurate idea would be ideal.  Thank you ahead of time for your reply.

Sorry for the hijack...

Hi Sharon, quotes vary for all of us.  We can discuss this week.  Does Wednesday still work for you?

Dr. Sauceda has a price list on his website: www.medicaltourism.com.mx. I hear his pricea go down when you combine ptocedures, but I don't know by how much. Also, prices vary from person to person, depending on how much work they need. A lower body lift for one person might be less expensive than for another, based on much skin repair they need.

Sorry about the typos, for some reason I can't edit on my phone.

Eileen, that's exactly how I felt. I am generally a strong person, but I know that major surgery can wreak havoc on your emotions and that's the part that has me a little nervous about being alone. I just keep going back to the fantastic results people have gotten & my fears begin to dissipate.

"If I were to go with Dr. S. I would be going alone as my husband couldn't get off and there wouldn't be anyone to stay with our two teens. I'm not thrilled with the prospect of going alone, however a part of me is thinking that it would be less disruptive to my family"

2 weeks alone in a foreign country (on the State Department Travel Alert list BTW) recovering from a complex combination major surgery with frequent complications associated with it, is a decision you should reflect on a little more. What will be disruptive for your family is a medical emergency in a 3rd world country far from home.  This type of complex body contouring procedure should really be done within driving distance of your surgeon with the expectation that you will experience at least a minor complication requiring treatment (seroma, skin slough, wound breakdown)
