What was your drainage amount down to when your surgeon decided that he/she would pull the drain.

So, so, so hoping to get them out at my appointment tomorrow!

I never had that much drainage from either arms or TT.  I ahd 3 of the 4 out on day 3 and last out  on day 7.  They were draining about 25 per day when pulled.

Pretty much everyone I've ever read was supposed to have 30cc or less. I was still at 90 and battled seromas for 4 months. DO NOT let him pull them too soon!!

Good luck!

Just gotta ask...does it hurt to have the drains removed?

Not at all. I just pulled my second one a couple of hours ago, and it's kind of a weird feeling, but not at all painful.

I am two weeks out and still have my drains 30cc or less is the mark mine are about 50 still. Hopefully they will come out on Tuesday. I wonder how long is it considered to be safe while they are in.
