im 6 weeks out from a tummy tuck and muscle repair and have had no issues at all!!! Just this week if im sitting in a kitchen chair or at a restaurant in a chair my stomach start cramping up and then the pain travels to my back cause Im hunching over so bad which by the way I really never did during the first 6 weeks. when sitting on the couch i use a small pillow tucked under my lower back for support but once i get up and walk around for awhile im good but sitting at the table is a killer!! anyone else experienced this? and im starting to swell as well which sucks!!!

Ouch! Sorry, I have no clue, as I have not had a TT yet but hopefully someone else will help soon. Don't be afraid to call your docs answering service if your instincts tell you that something is not right. Here's a link to some comments about TT pain at the six week mark, but your pain sounds a little different since it's something new...

Wow!  I have always had the tightness in my muscle area.  Sometimes, I do feel spasms if I am doing a lot of stuff at the gym.  but it's never traveled to my back and it's not really pain, just a really tight feeling.  I'd call your doctor and see what he/she says.

As far as the swelling is concerned.  I have heard of some that started swelling later and that is because they were no****ching their fluid intake or their sodium intake.  Check your intake and see if you've started consuming more sodium or not drinking enough water.

Good Luck!

What determines the need for muscle repair, and how/what do they do, generally?  I hope you feel totally back to normal soon.  I can't imagine what that tightness must feel like.
