Would love to see your before/afters
I'm not sure I understand...
How is exercise bad or loosening anything?
Maybe we are in different positions as for one thing, my surgeon didn't need to do any muscle repair on my abs (I am 27, never pregnant, and been athletic my whole life so maybe that's why?) and secondly, I definitely don't have anything close to "rock hard abs" at least that I can tell, cause they're still buried under a big of extra fat that I'm going to have to learn to live with.
But really, can you explain what you mean about exercise stretching things? My surgeon encouraged me to start exercising again at my 6 week followup.

My abs were tightened and all the excess skin cut off my stomach is hard even five years later, so I do nothing that could stretch the muscles back out. Maybe its different since you didnt need them tightened so you want to work out but I don't want to risk stretching mine and losing that feeling of rock hard abs.
AMAZING!!! I'm also 5'5 but at 190...my stomach looks just like your before pics, expcept with a little more at the base (I started out at 365). Could you please tell me who your PS was, which state, and the price? I got a quote a few weeks ago and for an extended abdominoplasty it was going to cost 9k PLUS 1800 for facility fees. Any information is greatly appreciated.
I was about 155-160 when I had my plastics in the before pic, it was done using the residency program at Yale in CT back in 2006, it cost 4000, but that was 5 years ago, I have no idea what it would be now. My neck lift there was 4k also, my arms 3.5k just as a point of reference. There is a thread here with all the residency programs I would look into one in your area. The resident who did my surgery was a beautiful German doctor, I told her make me look like you, we both laughed, but she got it good and tight. I was thrilled the minute I woke up and haven't stopped in 5 years.
Holy Crap!! Thanks so much for the tip....I didn't even think to look into residency programs....Will do!!!! 5K is what I can afford so I'm not goin to give up hope. Will start my research today..OMG thank you thank you thank you..I thought I was going to be stuck with this skin for a few more years...SUPER EXCITED :) Love OH and the people on here
