Hi Lee,

Do you weigh yourself weekly or daily?

How are your scabs doing? Mine are nearly gone.. Its a little interesting seeing everything improve with time..

How do you track your salt intake? I might eat too much

I weigh daily as my Kaiser Bariatric program says to do.  It helps me be real about what's up with my body.

I read labels regarding sodium.  I also put things into Myfitnesspal dot com which tracks for me.

Believe it or not, I still have a couple of scabs on my left thigh.  That's the leg that developed two seromas at week six.  It's just healing slower than everything else.  I have one scab above my mons and one at the top of my butt crack.  I'm massaging everything with lotion but have to avoid those areas.

I would go nuts with a daily weigh in.. 1x a week is more than enough for me..

I gain weight with the drop of a dime.  For me to keep this weight off me post WLS has taken daily dieting and exercise.  It took me over 1.5 years to get to goal.  I know that I will always have to be vigilant to keep this body.

I go to Weigh****chers once a week or a couple times a month for another layer of accountability.

We each do what we need to not gain the weight back.  :)

MIchelle,
After my first abdominoplasty ang thighs I went through a time when I was losing between 1 - 3 pounds a week, but that did stop.  My eating had remained about constant.  I got down to like 148 and then all of a sudden as soon as I started to work out that loss stopped and I 'gained" it back all in one week.  It was quite interesting and my calories had not changed so I shoud have lost weight.

Someone explained it to me that it was just coincidental that is seemed when exercise returned the weight loss stopped.  Losing post plastics is normal, but as it was explained to me, at this point, your body is working really hard to "clean up" the healing tissue that it just threw down in what ever order into a nice systematic tissue.  (Supposedly this is actually harder for the body the the original healing.)

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!
