1 week post op 3/4 belt lift; bl/ba and lipo

I am one week post op today.  I feel pretty good, it seems every day one pain goes away and another one starts, but I am managing pretty well.

I do seem to have more swelling on my tummy at night, but it is still pretty numb.  My belly button looks gross, but my surgeon says it looks good.  My breasts seem very odd shaped, swollen on the tops and sides which makes everything look weird.  Any advice on when breasts start looking a little more normal?

So far I am feeling pretty lucky, I have been able to manage my pain pretty well and have been getting around pretty good as well.

I can't help you with breastie info as I had TT and arms done this month but I wanted to say that I am glad you are doing well. I have a great new belly button and the tummy swelling has gone down a great deal.  I am 3 weeks out.  There is definitely still swelling but it is still so improved from the old muffin top.  You are going to love it when everything settles into place.
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!

It sounds like you are doing pretty good at this point! That's great! I haven't had my BL/BA yet (next month!), but from what I've been reading on the Just Breast Implants forum, the description they give regarding breast shape immediately following surgery is "frankenboobie"! Kind of square shaped a lot of posts say. Some women end up with them looking that way, some don't. Sounds like it's short term, which is good news. I've seen some pics in my research that were a week or two out and they usually look pretty good. My doc said usually what you see at 3 months is pretty much what you will be long term. There's a ton of info on that site. The only thing I don't see a lot of is surgery post massive weight loss. Lots of boobie greed - many wish they went larger. There's a forum for doctor's sites, which have plenty of pics to view. Here is the link:

I had my BL the day before you. My PS did some auto-augmentation, but no implants. I gotta say I was kind of worried about the shape the first time I saw them.

My nipples were puckered and not symmetrical. There was bruising and the suture lines are much thicker than I expected. They look better everyday. The tops have added fullness that I'm hoping is from the auto-augmentation and not swelling.

So far, I'm a nice C cup. The itching set in yesterday. OMG! It was aweful. DH and I watched tv. I tried changing bras, then lotion and massage. What finally worked for me was cool damp cloths on each breast.

For me this is a "one day at a time" recovery. I hate being less than 100%. We just have to let our bodies heal at their own pace.

I have a dumb question. What exactly is a 3/4 belt lift? Trying to get all the info I can at this point so I can be fully prepared when the time comes for consult.

a normal tummy tuck is from the inside of one hip to the inside of another hip.  A 3/4 belt lift (aka extended tummy tuck) goes past the outside of each hip making it almost 3/4 around the entire waist.  This allowed them to get more lipo done and get some extra skin on hips.
