After your consult, you can go back to the website and click on the proceedure you are having done. There are links to the bios of the surgeons who do that proceedure, so you can Google the names of your surgeons and find out more about them. You will probably be able to find some online references and reviews that way.
Be sure to ask for before and after photos and for a reference list of past patients when you go for your consult, too. They should have books with tons of pictures. Talk to the people in the waiting rooms, too, and ask them about their experiences. Don't let online reviews alone sway you, as I've found that usually, only the unhappy people take time to complain. You pretty much just have to use gut instinct to weed through mixed reviews.
The guy that runs the program has been there for years, so he must be doing a good job. I have seen other surgeons (online)say good things about the program, too. Looks like a good program to me, and I'd check it out if I lived in the area.
Let us know how your consult goes. If I find anything interesting about the program, I'll let you know. Hope it works out for you.
Kato Aguila, M.D. performed my Tummy tuck and Thigh Lift in December when he was Chief Resident. I am now having my follow uo with Matthew Stanwix, M.D. This is with the University of Maryland Plastic Surgery Resident Clinic. I am not sure how the two hospitals are related, but it seems that the residents practice at both hospitals. Both of these Doctors are listed on Johns Hopkins website. I can't say anything about Johns Hopkins itself since I had my surgery with the U of MD however I am very happy using the Resident Clinic itself.

Wow...can't believe it takes that long now. I was able to get U of Md and Johns Hopkins about 2 months out. I ended up giving my Johns Hopkins to a fellow OH'er. I had U of Md scheduled before JH and it was my 3rd consult. I accidentally met with the attending physician who would be overseeing the chief resident (just happened that the resident had to go over to the hospital right at the time of my appt. it is unusual to see the attending and not the resident) I really clicked with this attending so I was happy to be going with the U of Md.
I was going to say try the U of Md, but since you are not in a hurry, I guess it doesn't matter. I guess the only difference would be the hospital itself and the attending since it seems the residents practice at both hospitals.
Good luck on your journey
