Swelling issue! Help please!
I had a breast lift, bra line back lift, and both arms done on 1/10. Had 4 drains and they were removed on Friday. I had no swelling issues at all until Monday morning. Woke up with my right arm and hand so swollen, they looked like they could burst. I have a vest with sleeves I wear along with ace wrapping upper arms. Called doc, texted her a pic and she told me to unwrap the arm and re-wrap starting at my finger tips and wrap all the way to my shoulder. Did as I was told and now the fluid is mostly at my elbow and still very swollen. Planning on calling doc in the morning, but wondering if you wonderful people had any ideas for me or what you think the treatment will be. Thank you in advance. Putting my arms back up now, like a good girl.

I'm so sorry this is happening. I haven't had that happen, but things do tend to swell a little more after drain removal. I wear a compression garment with sleeves so I don't have the ace bandages. Are you getting enough compression? I've read about people using thick little girl tights that have the feet and middle cut off. Maybe you could try something like that under the bandages, or a tight Under Armor type spandex shirt.
This is what I was put into at my surgery. I was told to wear it 24/7 for six weeks and never swelled.

I monitor my sodium very closely and try to get in fluids, fruits and veggies to stay hydrated.
I hope you feel better!
