binder /compression garment question
Okay.. I am almost 4 weeks.. I am finding that my binder keeps slipping.. or pressing on the incision area at my TT and hurts like a B.. I find wearing my high waisted girdle thingy.. gives me better compression and overall fit.. I am thinking of not wearing the binder cause it rides up and ends up right under my breasts.
Is or has anyone else experienced this??
Thanks for responding..

I didn't get a binder, I got a mid thigh to ribs girdle that zips up both sides. It doesn't move! If you get good compression from something else it should be ok. Give your PS's office a call. My PS said I could switch up compression garments as long as I felt a good squeeze. I am just over two weeks out. I am now wearing girdle to work and flexees at home. I have used a binder with the girdle at work when I have been on my feet for hours for extra support.
You should be fine. I was told to use whatever gives me the best compression. I have a garment/girdle thing from mid calf to above my ribs. It has been a go to and has done a nice job! Check with your PS, but it should be a okay!
I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

Michelle where did u get your girdle thing? My ps said I only needed the binder so that is all I have. I have two. I wear a tank top under it so the binder s not next to my skin...much more comfortable. But I would like to get a girdle thing too for when I go bsck to work. Since I too had the tt...I would love to know where u got yours and what kind it is. Does it gi tithe middle of your thighs or your groin..land hw high up,
Thanks

I am using Assets or Flexees .. it goes mid thigh righ under your bra line. then a compression camisole that goes under my bra.. I will say I use either under wear or depends under the compression shorts thing.. pulling it up and down over my scabs does not feel good.. to overcome that I put on plain underwear or a depends..
The binder just rides up.. now..

Dr. Sauceda told me to wear the binder 24/7 for six weeks to be sure that the layers adhere to one another. He told me I could dump them at six weeks. Yesterday I was out all day without them and started swelling so I wore them to sleep in. I wore flexee tight leggings to my calf and a flexee camisole when not in the binders. They're really comfy.

I wore my binder for 3 1/2 weeks. My Dr said I could stop at 3 weeks, but the compression garments I ordered (on my own, Dr said not necessary, but most people like to wear them and I feel much better with something still at this point.) Finally got my garments. The first one is really tight. I will wear it until I return to work in a couple of weeks, and then I will wear it at night to sleep in. The second one is a moderate compression and I will wear it while working. I believe it will be much more comfortable to work in.
