At my 2 week visit mine asked me to start gentle massage of the incision lines.
At my 3 week visit; pretty much no more scabs, he told me to start using Lubriderm and massage daily to soften and smooth things out...esp the really bad tight areas in my axillas that were causing me so much grief. Hurt like a mofo!!
Much much better these days.
Incisions have completely flattened out.
Axillas are awesome!

My PS said when the scabs are gone. I scabbed much longer than most so I just started this week. I'm using Bio Oil for the massaging and will try the silicone strips as well. I hear they are difficult to keep on the arms so I'll have to try them at night with my compression sleeves on to help hold them in place.
Dr. Sauceda basically said, massage 4x a day or wear the silicone strips. He thought the strips would be easier than remembering to massage.

I was reading that the key to healing these scars are keeping them moisturized.. some study i was reading said plain old vaseline had the same results has very pricey scar creams like mederma.and silicone strips.. I prefer non petroleum products on my body.. I like olive oil or almond oil.. vit E etc.. cocoa butter or anything like that..
Its all personal preference.. the other important thing is to use sunscreen.. I am 4 weeks out and still have scabs but I pat the scabs with oil..
