Well, Wednesday I go in for a re-evaluation to see where I stand as a possibility to be covered by insurance for plastics.  Panniculectomy with possible abdominoplasty.

I have to switch my Medi-Cal to Medi-Cal/Anthem Blue Cross by March so I need my surgeon to re-evaluate what is needed.  I just spent over 2 hours researching Anthem's policies on Panni's abdominoplastys ... Panniculectomy is pretty much a go according to the criteria I have to meet ( and have exceeded) which are: below 30 bmi, weight loss of 100lbs or more, OR bariatric patient who has maintained for 3 or more months.  Also, rashes or ulcers dont have to be present if your ability to move around is hindered. OH BOY lol that's the MAIN reason for me wanting this done.. When I stand up, I have to find a table or wall to help me straighten, otherwise I'm stuck in a .."hunched over doing dishes" position.

Anywhoo, I didn't really mean to tell a story here other than - I'm gonna shoot for it and see what happens! Anyone have experience with medi-cal and or anthem?

I have a different form of Anthem, but they are going to pay for my panni. Glad they are paying for it, but I really hated those nudey pictures!  Good luck!
