 Hi Denise,

Sounds like u got all the scoop so just wanted to wish u good luck. How many of these r u having?  My patients tell me two things all the time about their IV iron.....how much better it makes them feel and how cinstipating it is, so make sure u take something.  I think miralax works great.  Good luck and sure hope it makes u feel better,

Hugs

Patty

I started Miralx over the weekend. It has been a life saver for my daughter, so I expect it will be great for this. Have to remember to take it though!

I am only having the one, bloodwork in a month to confirm my #'s are okay and possibly  2nd if need be. I'm probably having my revision surgery in March, so will definitely have my #'s up for that!

Hugs to you!

Denise, I'm glad you got good information.  I hope it goes quickly and easily for you.

You mentioned steroids.  The only times that I have taken them, I got incredibly hungry until  I stopped taking them.  I haven't had them post WLS.  You might want to check how they effect you. If you find yourself extra hungry, come up with a good plan of eating to keep the cravings down.

Well crap. This is supposed to only be the one dose, so hopefully I'll dodge the hunger bullet because Lord knows I don't need that.

Thanks for the heads up!
