Travel and a LBL/Tummy Tuck

 For those of you with recent surgeries, would you have felt like traveling after 10-12 weeks from a lower body lift or tummy tuck?  What about swelling?  I have a wedding coming up in July in New York and I would be traveling from Mississippi.  I am trying to decide whether or not to try and have surgery by April 2nd or wait until after July 22nd.  What would be your advice on this?  I can not have it before the end of March as I will be helping my daughter move home from Tennessee and time wise it just can not happen.

Honestly I think you would be fine.  I am coming up on 4 weeks and think I would be fine, the only catch for me would be to make sure I walk every hour or 2!  I was told by week 6 I should be good to go and could lift full amounts of weights, etc.; therefore, I would think you would be fine as long as you had no complications and even then I would think you would still be able to handle it!

My sister traveled by car from Slidell La to Birmingham AL after a boob lift and tummy tuck....I think it was 6 weeks after surgery and she did just fine.

 Thank you both for your answers.  I read so much about swelling 2 and 3 months out that I did not want to risk swelling out of my dress for the wedding.
