2. Roller chair/ computer chair in kitchen to cook an get food
3. extension cord to charge phone an computer all by recliner
4. folded in half comforter on recliner chair to add more cushion falls down but worth it when its hard to sleep in a chair.

Please continue to be very careful even though you're out of the woods.

I was healing great until four weeks out. At four weeks my groin incision opened up.  Three days shy of six weeks out I developed a seroma. I truly thought I was out of the woods.  This plastics stuff can be very trickly and sneak up when we least expect it.

Im glad your healing is going so well!

I jost noticed you are in Houston.  I may have missed where you posted this, but who is doing your PS, and did the Davis Clinic have recommendations for face lifts?

Best wishes for a speedy recovery....can't wait till I'm there.

Dr. Lomonaco is doing my PS. I had brachioplasty done last January. He is the best!

I have not asked the Davis clinic or anyone really about facelifts. At this point I'm not looking at having any face work done. Just gotta work on getting the body semi-normal looking right now!

Thank you for the good wishes-anxious to be on the other side and recovering!

A seat for the shower - you'll be very tired the first few weeks, and sitting down makes it MUCH better to wash your hair!

As far as soft tanks, I went to Old Navy and got camisoles from the clearance rack - some were $1.50. They worked great under the binder.

Front close sports bra - WalMart has a Fruit of the Loom that comes in a 2 pack that my surgeon recommended. They worked fine.

Best of luck - it's a great thrill ride!

I did not use much gauze, but I used tons of unscented maxi pads from the dollar store (so much cheaper than gauze). I did not use any tape to keep gauze or the pads in place. You probably have the same garment I did. I cut a maxi pad to go around my drains and put them in place. Then I hooked the top hooks of the garment and positioned maxi pads all the way around to cushon my incision. Then I did the other hooks and zipped it up. I also used maxi pads against my breast incisions. The bra held them in place.

Dr. Garth Davis did my bariatric surgery and Dr. Lomonaco did my lbl/bl, so we have a lot in common.

Good luck to you!!

Thanks so much! Sounds like excellent advice padding everything that way.

I have another question for you.  Did you try on your compression garment ahead of time?  I tried on mine yesterday and it fits but is not super tight. I'm wondering, if with the amount of skin/fat he is removing if I should get at least one size smaller.  I know there will be swelling, but what was your experience?

We do have a lot in common.  I think that Dr. Garth and Dr. Lo are the greatest!  I hope to look half as good as you do!  You look absolutely fabulous!!!

Thanks so much. From the sizing chart and my measurements pre-op, I should have worn a size small, but he gave me a size large. I'll admit I was sooooo insulted...lol. But it did fit, damnit.  I swelled up 4 inches post-op. I think he's good at guessing what size we need based on what size we were, how much he removes, and how much he thinks we're going to swell.

If you have any other questions, just ask!!

Thanks - I know I wasn't too happy either. I thought I had kissed XL goodbye! I guess I will stick with this one and order another later if I need it.
