I'm having breast reduction surgery on the 7th of February wth Dr. Terry Westfield in San Antonio, Texas.  I was wondering if anyone has heard of him, had any work done by him or know of anyone who has had work done by him?  Thank you!

Thanks for the bump Lee.  I'm finding it odd that I cannot find any forums anywhere where people have had work done.  He's been practicing for 30 years.  Are ALL his patients private people who won't post on the internet????  Surely not!!

I have not had work done by the doctor in question, but I do have too much time on my hands and a computer set up next to my recliner. I spent an hour searching for information about your PS on the net. I saw a couple of review sites with info but it is just the very boring "rank the surgeon by stars" kind of thing.

The most I could find was on makemeheal.com.  Neither review is very helpful imo. I like to have ALOT of info rather than 1 good review and 1 bad.

Hopefully someone here wil have experience and can comment. I find the women here much more helpful than some of the other sites.

Hey Raven, you are awesome!  Thank you for googling him.  Isn't it weird how there is nothing except what you found about him out there?  He's been a PS for 30 years!!!  It's a little scary to go to a PS with no online track record, like you, I like to see lots and lots and lots of info!!

I just started reading the plastics board.  PS came up so fast that I have not had time to research much.  I complained about my big breasts to my Bariatrics surgeon, he asked if I wanted a breast reduction, I said yes, he referred, and the insurance approved it in 2 days.  I could have had surgery 2 weeks later, but I opted for 6 weeks so I could figure stuff out.  I know one thing, I cannot wait to get rid of these big heavy breasts!!!  I can't believe surgery is in 3 weeks!!

I'm thinking I should add on a tummy surgery at the same time to keep the cost down, I would have to pay for that out of pocket.  But, I need to research the types.  On another post, I saw you posted a link to a website that helps figure out the different types of surgeries.  I'll be researching that website.  Thanks for posting it.  I feel like I am scrambling and not quite ready...........

I figure if I add the tummy surgery onto the Breast reduction, insurance will have already covered the hosp and the anesthesiologist.  I think I can cut the cost doing it that way.

Off to research!

Good luck trish!  Raven is a great researcher to have on your side.

I had the lower body lift because my tush was headed south and my outer thighs needed a Loy of lipo and attention.  I got great results.  I didn't have a lot of excess fat above the waist so this worked for me.  I was never apple shaped so the bulk of my weight was below the waist.

I was start another topic called which TT procedure did you have, or something like that.  Everyone is so helpful.

Thank you for the support.  I've read quite a bit since yesterday and I see that the TT is a major surgery, more major than the breast reduction, so I see that I should really just stick to the one for now.

About my PS, He is the only breast man that my insurance company uses in my town.  I have no other choice.  He has no malpractices on his record, so hopefully, no news is good news.

One thing I am going to ask for though is some fat injections between my eyes and the area above my lips.  I would like the skin smoothed out there.  My PS does a lot of breasts and face work.

Trish, I had fat from my leg injected into my lower cheeks to fill in the gauntness when I had my facelift.  I didn't have any forehead work. it sounds very painful in the lip area. Have you seen pictures where he has done this.  I would be a bit Leary in case the fat were to shift or only take in part.  It could give you a strange smile with shifting.

Wow...that is a scary thought!  It reminds me of some celebrities botched plumped up lips!  I just want a few lip lines gone, I wouldn't want to look like Angelina Jollie or anything!

I don't know.....  I have another consultation with my PS on Monday to ask questions.  Hopefully, I will feel better and reassured, especially if I look through his book of breast jobs that he has.

I found a forum where someone had breast implants last week by my surgeon.  Of course, it's to early to see how it turned out, but I think I may have to keep track of this patient, maybe even join in on their forum.  Here it is:
