Today was my 3 week appt. and it went well. I do have a seroma on my left hip just like the original surgery. PS asked if it was painful - this time no. I was given the option of a needle aspiration in the office today or letting my body reabsorb like last time. I opted to let my body take care of it.
In June they used Dermabond for my incision but this time they used something totally different that had a web-type basis. Today he removed all my dressings and I'm healing great. Was a little nervous about it getting pulled off all the way around from hip to hip bone but it wasn't painful.
One more wee****il officially cleared to do real exercise (other than walking). Next appointment is in 4 weeks!
Unlike my first LBL in June, this revision got me the result that I originally wanted. I am so glad that I communicated my unhappiness to my surgeon and he was able to revise the results. I now don't have saddlebags sticking out like before and am the same size in clothing top and bottom! When I walk I don't have the feeling of my loose skin moving in it's own direction all over the place! Other than paying for one hour of anesthesia/OR (which ended up being three hours and the PS covered the other two), and the recovery time (again) it was well worth going through an additional surgery.

Did you have any lipo on your saddlebags? I knew mine would not be addressed with a lbl. If I ever get an inner thigh lift I will get lipo on the outher thighs to fully address my saddlebags.
I'm glad you're happy with your results.

Dasie - I think everyone's results are different with an LBL. When I originally went for three different consults - I asked if an outer thigh lift would take care of my saddlebags. All three PS said no, you need an LBL to get the desired results. On my first round of surgery, I had enough skin removed to be able to donate it. But skin laxity, etc. wasn't in my favor apparently, and my saddlebags reappeared.
The majority of my weight gained and lost was between my waist and knees - classic pear shaped! What I am seeing now is that the front of my thighs are tighter and the sides are awesome, the back of my thighs not so much. But now I can wear the same size clothes top and bottom and things are fitting so much better already! And the fact that when I'm cleared for exercise the excess skin won't be moving everywhere - I can't wait!
If you have any other questions - don't hesitate to ask!

I carried my weight the same way, especially in my butt. When I went through menopause, I developed a horrible muffin top, like my mother, and I did not have that issue pre-menopause. What about the cottage cheese look down the front of the legs down to the knees? Did you have that, and if so, was that improved? My legs are a disappointment, so of course I have to wear shorts that go to the knees - not that I want to wear short-short, but I have seen some cute outfits that there was no way I could wear due to the length of the shorts. At least the inner thigh is tightened. I have a consult on Feb 2nd. This adds to my questions list. Thanks.

I really haven't noticed much of a difference in my inner thighs, but did see a slight improvement in my thighs in the front. The back of them are still not so great but that's ok. I know what you mean about the shorts. I will still probably wear longer ones. I am just thrilled that I am looking forward to a summer (hopefully) without having to wear spanx-type garments to hold my loose skin in, in 90+ degree weather!!
