heys guys quick questions. I want to achieve that flat tummy. So I been reading post were people are saying they dont hae that flat tummy they thought they were going to get. I mean the bottom looks flat but top still have that pooch look. I thought the anchor cut or ext tummy tuck will help with that. My surgeon will do a anchor cut and lbl,so i hope i wont have this problem.

I had the anchor cut TT and my tummy is EXTREMELY flat. Like a drum.

My friend had the exact same surgery with the same surgeon - and hers is kinda bumpy. No idea why?

I think your surgeon should be able to tell you if it is possible.

I have the Anchor cut but due to a pre existing Gallbaldder scar I am currently not pulled tight. A revision will be done late this year to adress it. Something about the old scar area needing to develop new blood supply. But even if I could not get a revision it's a million times better than what I was lugging around. ALso I went in at 200 pounds and so I am and will always be a bigger girl. But I was a size 20 before the LBL and now I am a 16 and some 14's. 16.3 pounds removed

A LBL won't take care of that upper pouch, but a LBL and Anchor Cut TT can flatten your tummy.  My tummy is very flat!  Dr S gave me the LBL and Anchor Cut TT!  If you still have fat in your tummy area, it may not be flat and if you lose more weight afterwards it will sag.  So you want to make sure you are as close to goal as possible to get the best possible results.  Any tummy fat does make a flat tummy impossible.  It basically removes the skin, but not the fat.

The anchor cut should take care of it. Some surgeons, like mine, somehow manage to give a flat tummy without the anchor cut. After losing 200 pounds I was sure I needed it, but I did not. My tummy is very flat now.

I dream of a flat tummy. Sigh, maybe some time this year, I'll be able to get it.

I am just over 2 weeks out and still swollen around the belly button area.....but my muffin top is gone and there is nothing to "stuff" into my jeans. I would love for it to be totally flat, but I don't think it is gonna happen. I can say it is 1000% better than before. I can't see myself getting a revision at this point...gotta wait to see after the swelling goes down.

Good question. I'm hoping that my FDL TT is gonna take care of that too because I currently look like I'm about to give birth since I have a huge diastasis. I'll be taking pics pre and post op (surgery this Friday) so I'll have something to tell you based on experience rather than speculation...wishing us luck!
