Thanks for the update, Lee. Sounds like things are progressing well and it is great that you have been receiving some pampering along the way.

Thanks Gail!  I made it around the lake today. I'm feeling much stronger.

Will I see you next Saturday for lunch?

Lee, I plan on attending the luncheon. I look forward to seeing you, Bonnie, and Nancy. It should be fun. I hope, I recognize you.

I made an appointment yesterday to see Dr. Le or Li in a couple of weeks. Just gathering more information, so I can start making a plan.

Congratulations on making it around the lake. Good for you!!!

Oh good, I'm glad you'll be there.  Bonnie just had her face done with Dr. Le so you can ask her about him.

Nancy has to fly back to Boston tomorrow so won't be able to come.

I look exactly the same!  :)

You may look the same, but a younger and more svelte version.  How exciting for you!!!

Are you in 8's yet?

I've tried on two pairs of 8's in my closet and they fit.  Hard to tell with the binders.  Because of my frown wound I really don't want to be crawling in and out of pants yet.  I tried a pair yesterday and hurt myself.

I have a pair of size 8 jeans that are too baggy in the legs now.  They didn't fit before surgery.  I think I'm going to need different cuts now that I have a tush and less thighs.

Interestingly, I measured my thighs yesterday and I'm 22".  That's the same as I was a few months ago.  That thigh is more swollen because that leg drain came out a few days before the other.  I also measured after walking the lake.

The areas where my measurements have changed are arms, breasts and stomach.  I hope my hips go down.

Now it's up to me to contour with weights and Pilates.  Dr. Sauceda's work is done, so now mine starts.

Lee and Michelle thanks so much for your updates!

I am 3 weeks out yesterday from LBL with mons lift, and revision of my left leg.  I had a LOT of lipo and contouring done and although I have been back to work (as a teacher- my boss has been great as I have a hard time moving most in the mornings).  Anyway, Dr. Michaels gave me the go ahead to walk slowly and not on an incline after about a 1 and a 1/2 but it was all I could do to get through the day! :-) Now at week 3 exhaustion has set in and sleep is ALL I want to do.  Of course, I am trying to remember to up my protein and fluids (proteins are a lot easier for me than fluids), but I am going to push through this exhaustion and head to the gym for the first time.  My goal is to walk at 2.5 - 3 mph for 30 minutes.  We will see if I have shot too high.  Dr. Micheals also told me I could start weights and I got excited, then in the next breathe he said keep it below 20 pounds still.  (I chuckled as I am well above 20 pounds on everything.)  I am still in the the "no mat" period as well LOL....I had no idea what he was talking about b/c I do my crunches on the abdominal crunchers with weights.  It made me laugh.

I figure if I focus on cardio for the next week and then add strength (very little weight), increase protein and fluids I might make it through this "dead as a door" feeling!

Keep it up girls you are doing wonderful and an inspiration to all!

Amy,

You are an inspiration as well.. I hit 3 weeks on Tues. I cant believe you're heading to the gym already.. AMAZING!!

Isnt the mons lift great! I cant believe what a difference that makes..

Maybe on the weekends sleep in? I did today.. I figure my body needed it..

Let us know how week 4 goes.. I am trying to keep my water and protein over 100 grams/ 100 fl oz.

Have a wonderful day!! I look forward to hearing about your gym experience.

Amy, you're a tiger in the gym!  I have to wait until six weeks to exercise.  I took my longest walk of 3.25 miles today.  I'm working my way into being more active.  I'm really pampering my thigh lift because of the open areas.

I'm glad that you're doing so well!!!

I'm glad to hear that you are still healing well. That's wonderful!

I've been reading a LOT about mid-face work, and it seems that it has a 50% or less satisfaction rate, at least until people get used to it. I've seen a lot of people say that when their cheeks are lifted (by different methods), they often feel that they have "crooked smiles", or "chipmunk cheeks", or just plain don't look like themselves. You had fat transfer to the cheeks, right? I'm sure it will settle quite a bit since you are still very early out. With the swelling on top of all the work you had done, I'm sure it's very hard to see what your actual results will be at this stage. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures, though.

Now, about the tummy. I did not want to put this in writing because I don't want ANYONE to think I'm being critical of Dr. S.. I have noticed when looking at all surgeon's websites that all of them seem to have areas of weakness. While I have not been able to find many pictures of Dr. S's work, I did read back through years of posts on his section on OH, as well as looking at some posts on other websites. One thing that I keep seeing is that many of them either went back for revisions of abdominal work, or they wished that their tummy work had been a little tighter. I am thinking that maybe Dr. S's weak area might be tummy tucks? PLEASE, correct me if I am wrong about that, and again, ALL surgeons have areas that are weakers than others, so that is no reflection on Dr. S.. I'm just wondering about your opinion on this since a tummy tuck is one of the things that I need to have done.

I'm still very much considering Dr. S, as I can tell from all of your posts that he is a very genuine person who cares deeply about his patients, and who wants to do his very best for each of them. That in itself is a rare trait in a doctor these days. I just need to make a decision about what things I feel that I want to compromise on since I need so many areas done. It would be impossible to have a different surgeon for each surgery, so I've got to find one surgeon who can do "most" areas well. It sounds like Dr. S might just be that person. Having those of you who post on this site for support sure does help when it comes to my being brave enough to head to Mexico, and I really do appreciate that.
