Bath at recovery week 4-5????
Had my surgery on December 12th and forgot to as the PS about taking a bath...
Anyone have advice on this? All my incisions are healed over, but I still have some tape and glue on them.
Was going to add a bit of Epsom salt, but thought you guys might have heard if this would be wise or not.
Thanks for any input

I think it was six weeks after my VSG before I was cleared for a bath. I had bodywork on 12/9 and don't feel anywhere near ready for a bath. I would be too afraid of infection because I still have scabbing. I'll have to write my PS to ask when I'm feeling closer to it.

My bodywork was on a Friday. I was supposed to be showered on Saturday but asked i asked to wait until Sunday. I wasn't feeling ready to be unwrapped yet. The nurse didn't have me take off my garments and sit dangling my feet off the side of the bed for 30 minutes and I about passed out in the shower. After that Dr. Sauceda told me how to do it and I was fine.
I have read about some surgeons that make you wait until the drains are out. I think bubbbbzzzz had to wait six weeks. Ouch!

For me it was six weeks for a bath.
My post op instructions for my TT as well as my most recent upper body work were to be in the shower the following morning and daily...drains and all!
