great results
I was 200. I don't know if you should be worried or hopeful! I actually was looking at my tummy today and I really do love it. Vast improvement. Sure, things are still softish when I sit--not tight like a drum like I'm sure some people get, but I think I look damn good (and I DO NOT ever want to sound conceited) for where I came from.
You'll be very glad you did.

I'm scheduled for a Abdominaplasty on April 6thWow! We have VERY similar stats(except for our age). Even our high weights are close. I had a revision from Mini-Gastric Bypass to RNY in 2010, but my HW for my first surgery was around 290. I need to update my pictures and get a full-length picture up now that I am pretty much at my goal.
Are you happy with your weight at 167-170? I'm happy enough. I would love to be thinner, of course, but I'm 51, and I can tell that if I lose any more, I'm going to have more loose skin than I want to deal with. My calves, for example, look decent right now, but if I lose more they will sag too much to wear shorts. I don't think there is a surgery for sagging calves? I'd rather just stay where I am.
I was 145 when I got married 23 years ago, and was doing Nutrasystem then, lol. I guess we will never be happy. Since all of my weight is in my belly, I should go down a couple of sizes after a tummy tuck (I hope). My legs are thin, and I have no butt, so finding clothes that fit is tough when I have to go with things that fit my belly.
I've always had a belly. Even when I was young and about 125 pounds, I would have to diet for a week to wear a bikini. I'm really looking forward to the tummy tuck.
I'm going to send you a friend request so we can keep up with each other. It's very interesting that we are the same height and weight. Good luck with your tummy tuck. I should have mine sometime before you have yours, so I'll send you some pics of my before and afters when I do.
P.S. I was just checking out this surgeons site and saw this person that is 5'9" and 155. She looks downright skinny! I think that sometimes, we have to look at other people with the same stats to see our own progress (at least I do) . I'll always see a fat girl when I look in the mirror. http://www.doctorwade.com/gallery/index.html

I'm somewhat happy at my weight, but my goal for myself really was about 155, so i'm hoping with the tummy tuck it can help me get closer to that goal!
I've always been "well rounded" when I was larger I carried it everywhere...LOL
My main areas of extra skin are my belly and my arms! I can't wait to see pics of your progress!
I agree that we don't really realize how "small" we look to other people until we see pictures, or we see a pic of someone that wears the same size as us, or like you said is our height and around our weight and we think...geez they are SO skinny!
I have problems with getting clothes to fit correctly not only b/c of my belly skin, but my "girls" stayed the same cup size and so if I want to wear a 1 piece dress, I have to get usually a 12 just to zip up past my girls...SO annoying (I know I know, don't complain cause people would love to still have their boobies!)
I've always been overweight my whole life, so this is definitely a strange thing for me to be considered skinny or small!
I look forward to keeping in contact with you!
