I am scheduled for Panni surgery on Feb 6th and wondering if anyone has had the surgery and has the Lap Band?  Did you have any problems with it? Did they have to move the port?   Look forwarrd to any insight.  I meet with surgeon next week but thought I would see what you all have dealt with.

Thanks!

If you're having a panni, they will only be removing the excess skin from below your belly button. No muscle repair is done with a panni. If you're having a TT, there is muscle repair done and your surgeon may have to move your port.
With my first TT (I had an Anchor Cut revision in May) I had a snall hernia near the port site. My surgeon said that he sees that often with Lapbanders. He didn't move my port, but he fixed my hernia. I wish I had gotten the Low profile port because now I can see my port - it's huge with my new flat tummy!

It's a great adventure!  You're going to love your new tummy!  I have friends who don't know I have a Band and I was wearing a tight Under Armour tee-shirt while I was working out and she asked, "what is that lump?"  I didn't know what to say.  My Lapband doctor retired and I have a new doctor, I am tempted to ask, what it would cost to get a Low Profile port.
