What have your experiences with silicone sprays. strips. gels been? What brand did you use? If you have tried a few different ones, which worked the best? How far out from surgery were you when you started using them?  Do they help get rid of keloids after they form?

Thanks!

My PS has me using Kelo-cote. It is a gel you use very sparingly. I started using it around 6 weeks. My arms in sins are almost invisible now. Also the thicker incisions under my breasts are starting to be flat and thin. They have a website that is worth checking out.

My PS recommended to me Scarban (granted he "works" with the company) but I was not allowed to use it until all incisions were closed.
I also had wound slough that turned to a very small gangrene and was debrided and then I was on a WoundVac.
Thank GD all is closed and I'm on Scarbsn for scars very keloidy and hypertrophic.

My surgeon had me using Cicacare. I also had a scar revision and used the sheets plus compression sleeves for three months.

I will say, I don't really think it made much difference. My scars came back thick and keloid. They are a bit "softer" this time, if that makes sense. Less ropey.. So I'm hopeful that they will flatten and lighten easier/faster. But they are still pretty noticeable right now (5 months out from my revision).
