I've been researching (and saving) for over 2 years myself.  I just scheduled my surgery for March 9th in Mexico - Monterrey with Dr. Sauceda.  Congratulations!

hi. i am still in the beginning stages of research, but have heard good things about Dr Sauceda. Tijuana is a more convenient location though. i live in Santa Barbara so it could be a drive instead of a flight. how did you pick your Dr, anything you can share that would be of help to me? i just posted a long question on this forum.
good luck and congratulations!!

I picked Dr Sauceda because two women in one of my support groups went to him.  I spent days reading everything on his OH page.  One recovery was a huge plus.  Also the cost that included two weeks of care really set it for me.

From San Francisco it was a flight to Houston, then a short flight to Monterrey.

Hey check him out, if statements are true to form there will always be a mixture of positives and negative commets for any surgeons,.. i think the key is to have a minor surgery then if all is well, book for bigger and better things, So Kathie, keep in mind that most surgeons will let you expect more than what they can do, so question them when you interview them about your concerns, and POST operative care... come down to Tijuana and visit him, he has done good stuff,... check out another plastic surgery website MAKEMEHEAL.COM,

Sorry to do this, but the website listed above makemeheal.com attacked my computer with a virus when I clicked on the community link. Thank goodness for AVG. Be careful when visiting the site.

Good luck to you on your up coming surgery and congrats on your success of weightloss.

Dr. Sauceda actually doesn't say he can do more for me.  I had a friend with me for the entire consult.

He marked me and described the procedure, telling me that he can never make perfection but can make improvement.  We spent over an hour just on my breasts, looking at his patient before and afters, then I showed him breasts here on OH that I liked the shape of etc.  in the end he thought he could give me what I wanted without implants.  Of course I can always get them later.

I was hoping to like them, but what I found, was perfection for me. Exactly what I asked for.

Do I wish my thighs or arms were a tiny bit tighter?  Maybe, but truth is I know I got what was safest for me, and geared towards my yoyo diet sjin that I now live in at 61 years old.

Im only four weeks out and won't know my outcome for a few months when things are more healed and less swollen.  I got exactly what Dr. Sauceda promised me.

Yeah, that is the one thing that impressed me most about Dr Sauceda.  He never promises more than he can deliver.  He sets expectations exactly where they should be considering how much weight I had lost.  I never expected to look as good as I do.  Dr S will also do his surgeries under an epidural instead of general and since I have Malignant Hyperthermia in my family, an epidural is the best!  He also has a lot of experience with people who have lost Massive Amounts of Weight and that was the biggest plus for me.  I've had 3 surgeries by him.  He took 8.5 hours just on my face and I am told often that I look 20 years younger!
When you go with Dr Sauceda, if your sugery costs over $7K, he will pay for your airfare up to $600.00 and he will pay for you to stay at the Hampton in for the time he requires post op.  For me, it was 14 days... his RN comes every morning and helps you shower, washes your garment (he gives you two compression garments) and dresses your incisions.  She's amazing.  Then each evening after he finishes surgery, Dr S will come and see you at the hotel.
I stayed for a week in the hospital in May - then 10 days at the hotel.  All inclusive!
Good Luck with your surgery!  This is a great time for us!  As we become the butterflies we were meant to be!

Dr. Campos does some gorgeous tummy tucks, lipo, and other stuff. His scars always look great. I've only seen one patient of his who was unhappy. When I looked at her pictures, I could see that while it was certainly not the best work that Dr. Campos had ever done, it looked better than some of the work I've seen from U.S. surgeons.

I've also been talking to some doctors from Mexico. It's just so hard to make a decision about who to go to. I was scheduled in the U.S. for January 26th, but postponed that surgery today. I still may go that route, but I'm just too undecided to rush into anything right now.

I'm still waiting on Dr. S's quote, but got one from Dr. Alicia Sigler. She also does amazing work. I have to say, Dr. Campos would be my first choice after seeing pictures of some of his patients on makemeheal, but I have not sent off for a quote from him. I think you made a great choice in surgeons, and I can't wait to see your results!
